Question:

Could any psychotropic medications that you have taken be at fault for this feeling ?

Response:

Ever since my anxiety disorders started about 5 years ago, I’ve always had this cloudy look to everything.  It’s as though I’m going through life looking through a window (you can look out a window and see things, but they become more real when you open the window).  I can’t seem to open the window.  About a year ago, this cloudiness cleared up for about 5 seconds (I remember that moment damn well) and the whole world seemed so fresh and alive and joyous….then the window closed. I know if I can get rid of this feeling I’ll be cured. Anybody found a med to clear up this "cloudy" feeling?

Sounds like depersonalization or derealization to me. Risperdal, 1mg/day does wonders. Talk to your doctor about it. JaneB

Response:

Sounds like depersonalization to me.  I have it myself and take Zyprexa for it.  Risperdal is another med they use for it as well.  Best to seek out the opinion of an experience doctor. Good luck., Xanman — Xanland – A little insanity in an sane wolf.
